Power Adjustable Ultrasonic Bath Cleaner

The KHTDP series offers benchtop variable power ultrasonic bath cleaners for laboratories that need more control than a fixed-power ultrasonic bath provides. Every sonicator bath in this series delivers fully adjustable ultrasonic output—from a gentle 5% to full 100% intensity. Researchers can precisely match cavitation energy to each task. One machine covers the full spectrum: rinse delicate volumetric glassware at low power, sonicate samples for dissolution at moderate settings, or strip stubborn residues from metal instruments at full intensity.

Power Adjustable Ultrasonic Bath Cleaner Features

Features 1: Adjustable Ultrasonic Power

A normal digital ultrasonic cleaner operates at a single intensity for everything—it is either too aggressive for delicate items or too gentle for stubborn residues, and the user has no way to adjust it. But in a research and laboratory environment, cleaning and sonication tasks vary enormously. The KHTDP series ultrasonic bath cleaner solves this with truly variable power control, and the user will be able to adjust the ultrasonic power for various applications:

  • 5–30% Power for Delicate Work — Clean thin-walled glassware, cuvettes, and coated optical components without surface etching or pitting. Gentle sonication for mixing cell suspensions or dissolving delicate compounds.
  • 40–70% Power for Routine Laboratory Use — Clean standard borosilicate glassware, beakers, flasks, pipettes, and stir bars. Degas the HPLC mobile phase and accelerate the dissolution of solid samples.
  • 80–100% Power for Stubborn Residue Removal — Strip polymerized residues from stir bars, clean sintered glass filters, and remove heavy contamination from stainless steel instruments. High-energy sonication for sample preparation protocols.

This range of control means a single KHTDP machine can serve as a laboratory ultrasonic cleaner for glassware, a lab sonicator bath for sample preparation, and a precision ultrasonic parts cleaner for instruments—all in one benchtop unit. For shared laboratories where multiple users have different requirements, this flexibility eliminates the need for multiple specialized ultrasonic baths.

Features 2: Automatic Sweep Frequency

All KHTDP models ultrasonic bath cleaners include an automatic sweep frequency, which continuously shifts the ultrasonic output within a narrow band around the center frequency. This prevents stationary standing waves from creating dead zones in the ultrasonic cleaning bath, ensuring uniform cavitation energy reaches every item in the bath—a feature shared with our KHTDS series variable-frequency ultrasonic cleaners and KHTDF series multifunctional ultrasonic cleaners, and a useful complement to the variable power capability.

Applications

The adjustable power ultrasonic bath has very wide applications for both commercial and industrial parts cleaning. Such as jewelry, glasses, dentures, dental instruments, and lab instruments cleaning.

Apart from the cleaning applications, there is another important application. That is the sonication in the scientific experiments in the laboratory. People use an ultrasonic bath for the extraction of many compounds from plants. So, the sonicating water bath is also known as a sonicator bath. As for the power-adjustable and sweep frequency ultrasonic cleaners, the main applications are for laboratory use and cleaning laboratory equipment.

Frequency Customization for Specialized Protocols

Unlike our KHTD and KHT series, which operate at a fixed frequency, the KHTDP variable power ultrasonic cleaner can be ordered with any of twelve center frequencies to match specific protocol requirements:

FrequencyTypical Laboratory Application
28kHz, 32kHzAggressive cleaning of robust instruments and glassware with heavy contamination
40kHzGeneral-purpose laboratory cleaning and sample sonication (most common)
52kHz, 60kHz, 68kHzIntermediate precision cleaning for delicate instruments and optics
80kHz, 100kHz, 120kHzFine cleaning of micro-components, MEMS devices, and delicate surfaces
130kHz, 170kHz, 200kHzUltra-fine cleaning and gentle sonication for sensitive materials

This frequency range is not available on our KHT series mechanical sonic cleaners or KHTD series digital sonic cleaners, and goes well beyond the dual-frequency option offered by KHTDS series. For research groups with specialized protocols—nanoparticle dispersion, delicate microfluidic device cleaning, or sensitive biological sample preparation—the ability to specify a higher-frequency ultrasonic cleaner can be critical to experimental reproducibility.

What further distinguishes the KHTDP series from our other digital ultrasonic cleaner ranges is frequency flexibility. While KHTD models operate at a fixed 40kHz and KHTDS models offer dual 28/40kHz switching, the KHTDP series can be factory-configured to any of twelve center frequencies—28kHz, 32kHz, 40kHz, 52kHz, 60kHz, 68kHz, 80kHz, 100kHz, 120kHz, 130kHz, 170kHz, or 200kHz. This breadth of frequency options, combined with adjustable power and automatic sweep frequency, makes the KHTDP a uniquely configurable adjustable power ultrasonic cleaner platform for specialized laboratory applications.
