The K1072 is a 300L industrial ultrasonic cleaning tank — a 1000 × 600 × 500 mm SUS304 stainless steel ultrasonic bath driven by two independent ultrasonic generators at 3600W ultrasonic power, with a 9000W three-phase heater for heavy oil and grease. Built for production cells that run part batches all shift, this industrial ultrasonic cleaner can handle continuous duty beyond 24 hours and uses a custom ultrasonic tank on the same generator platform.
Most buyers searching for an ultrasonic cleaning tank are working from two numbers: the largest part they need to clean, and how much soil it carries. This industrial ultrasonic cleaning tank answers the first with 1000 mm of usable length and the second with enough power density to strip hardened grease rather than merely loosen it. If either number falls outside what a standard size gives you, we build the tank to your drawing — the custom range on this platform runs from benchtop ultrasonic baths up to 6000 litres.

Ultrasonic Cleaning Tank Size and Dimensions
A litre rating is a poor guide to what fits. Two ultrasonic tanks sold as 300L ultrasonic cleaning tanks can have completely different internal dimensions—one long and shallow, one short and deep—and only one will fit your part. This is the most common question we are asked about tank size, so it is worth answering with real numbers rather than a litre figure.
The K1072 measures 1000 × 600 × 500 mm internally. Three numbers decide whether your part actually fits:
| Measurement | K1072 specification | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Internal length | 1000 mm | The single most limiting dimension — long shafts, dies and assemblies run out here first |
| Internal width | 600 mm | Room for a basket of loose components side by side, or one fixture |
| Internal depth | 500 mm | Set working depth: keep the load submerged with 30–40 mm of solution above it |
| Basket clearance | ~30 mm per side | The mesh basket takes about 15 mm per side off the usable area |
| Working depth | ~450 mm at full fill | Distance from the basket floor to the liquid line; your part must sit below it |
If your part is 1.1 m long, this tank will not take it, whatever the litre figure says. That is the single most common reason a customer moves from 300L to 500L. Send us your part dimensions, and we will tell you honestly which standard tank fits, or whether one needs to be built.
Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning Tank Design and Build
The K1072 large ultrasonic cleaning tank is hand-built from thick SUS304 stainless steel rather than pressed from a standard shell. Because each tank is made to order, length, width, and depth follow your actual parts — a die 1100 mm long or a component 600 mm deep is not a problem. We also add reinforcement where the load concentrates, so the tank resists hydrostatic load and the thermal cycling of daily industrial use.
Corrosion resistance comes from the material and the weld quality, not a coating that wears off. For chloride-heavy or acidic processes, ask about 316L — the same generator and transducer layout carries across both grades. The result is a stainless steel ultrasonic cleaning tank you specify once and run for years, rather than a catalogue size you design your parts around.
If you are weighing a custom ultrasonic tank against a catalogue size, tell us your part dimensions, and we will quote the built-to-drawing option alongside the standard one, so the comparison is on real numbers rather than on litre figures.

Two Independent Ultrasonic Generators
Most large industrial ultrasonic tanks, including this large ultrasonic cleaning tank, rely on a single generator; the K1072 uses two. Each cabinet feeds its own transducer bank, so output distributes evenly across the 1000 mm floor and a fault in one cabinet does not stop cleaning.
For a production cell, redundancy is the difference between a planned service window and an unplanned line stop. It also makes the ultrasonic cleaning machine easier to live with: generator, transducer set, and tank are three separate service items, not one welded assembly.
Continuous 24-Hour Duty
Rated for uninterrupted operation beyond 24 hours, the K1072 large tank ultrasonic cleaner handles sustained cavitation without thermal trips. Lines that feed parts all shift can keep the tank running, topping up solution and lifting loads without a cool-down cycle. For a large ultrasonic cleaning tank in a cell that has to keep pace with production, that rating is what separates it from a batch machine.
3600W Variable-Power Ultrasonic Cleaning System
Industrial-grade transducers deliver 5% to 100% adjustable power. Run full output on hardened carbon and heavy oil; drop to the low end for soft alloys and finished surfaces where aggressive cavitation would mark the part. Automatic sweep frequency breaks up standing-wave dead zones, so cavitation stays even across the full 1000 mm rather than leaving cold bands between hotspots.
Sweep frequency function matters more on an ultrasonic washing tank of this size than on a benchtop large ultrasonic bath: the wider the radiating floor, the more pronounced the standing-wave pattern becomes.
Mesh Cleaning Basket and Flow-Control Drain
A stainless steel mesh basket lifts parts clear of the floor for full cavitation access, and the flow-control drain valve makes solution changes and rinses controlled rather than sudden — important when draining 300 litres of warm chemistry. That basket also matters when you plan an ultrasonic wash tank layout: it sets the working depth, and therefore the power density reaching your parts.
Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning Tank Applications
Bearing and Gear Assemblies
Bearing manufacturers and gear shops run the K1072 to strip preservative oil, lapping compound, and shop soil from races, cages, and housings before inspection or plating. The 1000 × 600 × 500 mm large ultrasonic bath takes a full load of loose components, or a fixture of assembled units, in one pass.
On steel races, 28 kHz drives the larger bubbles that cut through packed oil; 40 kHz protects finely ground surfaces from marking. Tell us the race material and the soil, and we set the frequency at the build stage.
Engine and Carburettor Cleaning
Car workshops and rebuilders put engine parts, injector bodies and diesel filter housings through the bath. A full set of injector bodies or a large carburettor bank sits submerged together, removing carbon and baked lubricant that pressure washing leaves behind.
Mould and Die Degreasing
Injection and extrusion shops run dies through the bath to lift residual polymer and release agent out of every cavity. A die that no longer fits a smaller tank drops straight in, with power set to protect fine surfaces while still cutting hardened deposits.
Remanufacturing and General Parts Washing
Any cell cleaning oil-laden components in volume — remanufacturing, general engineering, marine, electroplating — uses the same configuration. For batches with heavy particulate load, ask about the recirculation and filtration option: it extends solution life so one charge cleans more batches before a change-out.
When to Move Off the 300L Ultrasonic Cleaning Tank
The 300L tank is the sweet spot for long, narrow loads — bearing cages, injector-body sets, and single dies up to 1000 mm. If you are sizing up from a smaller ultrasonic cleaning tank, this is where the trade-off sits. Move away in these cases:
- Down to 240L (K1060) when the job is one engine block or a single mould under about 780 mm. The smaller tank saves floor space, and roughly a third of the heater draw for the same shift.
- Up to 500L (K1120) once a batch must take a whole block plus heads and manifolds together, or several dies per load. The 500L’s 1200 mm length clears a full assembly set that the 300L would split across cycles.
- Other volumes and their internal dimensions are listed on the industrial ultrasonic parts cleaner series page.

FAQ
How do I know if my parts will fit the 300L ultrasonic tank?
Three measurements decide it: your largest part (L × W × H including any fixture), the internal tank dimensions — not the outer cabinet — and the working depth from basket floor to liquid line. The K1072 industrial ultrasonic tank is 1000 × 600 × 500 mm internally, and the mesh basket takes about 10 mm off each side. Send us your part dimensions, and we will tell you which standard tank fits, or whether one needs to be built.
Why does the K1072 use two generators instead of one?
Two generators split the 3600W load across the tank floor and add redundancy. If one cabinet needs service, the other keeps cleaning, so a production cell is not stopped by a single fault. Two cabinets also balance cavitation more evenly across a 1000 mm tank.
What is the difference between this and a benchtop ultrasonic cleaner?
A benchtop ultrasonic bath handles a basket of small parts a few times a day. The K1072 is a 300L large ultrasonic tank with a 1000 mm working length, two generators, 9000W of heat, and a continuous 24-hour duty rating. Different class of machine, different class of job.
Is 28kHz or 40kHz better for my parts?
Match the frequency to the contamination and the material. 28 kHz produces larger, more energetic bubbles — the aggressive action for heavy oil, packed grease, and carbon deposits. 40 kHz produces smaller, denser bubbles, safer on machined, plated, or polished surfaces. A higher frequency is not automatically better: thick grease cleans faster at 28 kHz. Every K1072 can be built in either, and we set it at the build stage based on what you tell us.
How is the ultrasonic tank heated and powered?
The 9000W heater runs on three-phase AC 380–400V. The ultrasonic generators run on single-phase AC 220–240V, 50Hz (110–120 V, 60 Hz to order), so only the heater connection needs a three-phase supply. Run 60–70°C for oil and grease; the heater adjusts up to 95°C, but cavitation weakens above roughly 80°C, so a hotter bath is not a faster bath.
Can I get a non-standard ultrasonic cleaner tank size?
Yes. Every K1072 tank is built to order in SUS304, with length, width, and depth set to your parts. For chloride or acidic processes, 316L is available on the same generator and transducer layout. Custom tanks on this platform have been built up to 6000 litres.
