How to use a sonicator bath? If you bought the KHTDP Series power-adjustable sonicator bath like the one below, here is the user manual to guide how to operate. This guide applies to all the KHTDP series variable power ultrasonic cleaners: K230HTDP, K340HTDP, K360HTDP, K410HTDP, K615HTDP, K820HTDP, and K1030HTDP.
Preparation
Before using your sonicator bath for the first time:
- Fill the tank — Pour cleaning solution into the stainless steel ultrasonic bath. Use water or a water-based cleaning solution appropriate for your application. Do not operate the machine with an empty tank.
- Connect to power — Plug the power lead into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Power on — After switching on, the LED display will show the current ambient temperature and a default timer reading of 0 minutes.

The basic operations include: Timer settings, Temperature settings, Ultrasonic power adjusting. Below is the detailed steps showing how to use this sonicator bath.
Timer Settings
The digital timer controls how long the ultrasonic cleaning cycle runs.
- Increase time — Press the “T+” button. Each short press adds 1 minute to the timer.
- Decrease time — Press the “T-” button. Each short press reduces the time by 1 minute.
- Rapid adjustment — Press and hold either button for 3 seconds to increase or decrease the time in 10-minute increments.
- Auto-stop — The sonicator machine will stop working automatically when the timer counts down to 00:00.
To stop mid-cycle: Press the “Ultrasonic” button at any time during a cleaning cycle, and the ultrasonic cleaning will stop immediately.
For continuous operation: Press the “T-” button until the display reads 00:00, then press the “Ultrasonic” button. The machine will run continuously until you manually turn it off.
Temperature Settings
Heated solution significantly improves cleaning effectiveness. The best working temperature for most applications is between 40°C and 60°C.
- Increase temperature — Press the “℃+” button. Each short press raises the target temperature by 1°C.
- Decrease temperature — Press the “℃-” button. Each short press lowers the target temperature by 1°C.
- Rapid adjustment — Press and hold either button for 3 seconds to change the temperature in 10°C increments.
- Start heating — After setting your desired temperature, press the “Heating” button to activate the heater.
Important: The ultrasonic cleaner heater only works when the preset target temperature is higher than the current actual solution temperature in the tank.
Adjusting Ultrasonic Power
The KHTDP series ultrasonic sonicator bath allows power adjustment from 5% to 100% of maximum output, matching the cavitation intensity to your specific cleaning task.
- Increase power — Press the “P+” button to raise the ultrasonic output.
- Decrease power — Press the “P-” button to lower the ultrasonic output.
Warm Tips: Lower power settings (5–30%) are suitable for delicate items, routine glassware rinsing, and gentle sonication. Higher settings (70–100%) provide the aggressive cavitation needed for stubborn residues, carbon deposits, and heavy degreasing.
Sweep Frequency Mode
The KHTDP series ultrasonic bath cleaner features an automatic sweep frequency function. This requires no manual operation. It continuously adjusts the ultrasonic output within a narrow band around the center frequency, preventing standing waves that create dead zones in the cleaning bath. This ensures uniform cavitation across the entire bath and operates automatically whenever the ultrasonics are active.
After Cleaning
When your cleaning cycle is complete, there are still several points you need to know:
- Allow the solution to cool — Do not empty the tank immediately after heating. Hot water can cause burns and may damage the machine’s internal components. Wait until the solution has cooled to a safe temperature.
- Empty the tank — Drain or pour out the used cleaning solution.
- Clean the tank — Wipe both the inside and outside of the sonicator bath with a clean, dry cloth to remove any residue. This prevents buildup and keeps the machine ready for the next use.
